Lauren Conrad's 7 Days to Skinny Jeans SMOOTHIE Knock-Off

Find it on Pinterest

Cook's Note: I have varied my recipe (as I always do) - there is something about me - I just can't follow the rules of cooking and always have to do my own thing!!

I made mine with fresh STRAWBERRIES instead of Raspberries and VANILLA YOGURT instead of PLAIN (as called for in Martha's recipe)
Just try it, its delicious and healthy - what more can you want?

Ingredients:

1 cup ice
1/2 cup fresh strawberries
1/2 cup vanilla low fat yogurt
1 banana
1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1 TBSP  honey

Directions

Place ice and berries in the blender first, then all other ingredients and blend until smooth. Pour in a tall glass and drink with a fat straw-ENJOY!

I am not sure why they are calling this "Lauren Conrad's Smoothie" because she got her recipe from MARTHA STEWART!!!

Original Pinspiration from Lauren Conrad, but  her recipe comes from Martha Stewart

At the very end of the receipe it says 1 tablespoon ? of what it doesn't say. Nobody seems to have asked. Am I the only one who sees this or am I missing something?

Hi All, thanks for stopping in. This smoothie is delicious and filling and very healthy addition to your diet. The 1 tablespoon is honey, and thanks for catching the error, we recently started revamping our site and some things got messed up on the process. I will make the correction. Let us know how you like the smoothie!

We just share the recipe for the smoothie (which actually comes from Martha Stewart) - we don't endorse Lauren Conrad or the diet.

Hi. I started adding a smoothie once a day as a meal replacement, usually breakfast. This is one of my go to smoothies. Have I lost weight, yes. Is it because of the smoothie, IDK but it is a healthy way to add some fruit and protein to your diet.

Smoothies are great for our health and body because fruit juices has its natural vitamins and nutrients, and it also has its own natural sugar that's good for our health.

Can you use greek yogurt instead of plain vanilla?

Suburban Epicurean said...

Caroline - You can certainly use Greek yogurt (make it your own!) - Greek yogurt is actually better for you anyway because of the extra protein! Hope you enjoyed!
